My neighbor's dog and my dog grew up together, and this pup was like my own. I felt his loss as acutely as the loss of my own. This mix of golden retriever and cocker spaniel (and maybe some other things, we were never sure!) is a great one. Lots of energy, beautiful fur that isn't as long as a pure cocker spaniel and thus easier to maintain and very friendly! This pup was great around kids, never nipping at them even in old age, he kept his happy attitude. Very energetic. Needs walked or run around often to keep him happy so I wouldn't recommend if you cannot provide space for this! In old age he did suffer from cataracts and eventually loss of control of his bodily functions, but this can happen in many old dogs. Lived to be more than 14 years which is a long time for bigger dogs! You'll love having a dog like this in your family.
