The title basically says it all. He looks like a big, strong dog, which is great for protection. If someone comes into the home he will bark and act mean, but once he sees that you are ok with the new person, he is fine. He loves to be with his people, but is ok being left alone for periods of time. When out and about he is great with people and other animals. He may bark or stand taller when he first sees another dog but is fine when you have them meet. He is afraid of thunder storms, not sure if that is just him or the breed! He is very difficult to cut nails, has to be taken to the vet for that. Wouldn't be good for apartment situations just because of his size. He loves to roll in the grass outside and chase squirrels. Middle energy level, he is fine with pretty much whatever your pace is! He was supposed to be a foster dog but we fell in love!
