Lance is an Argentine Dogo / American Bulldog mix. Lance has always been a good dog. His short hair needs no special care and it's less mess aroung the house. Lance will stay in the yard without a leash, but has no problem with being leashed for a walk. With Lance around, the wife feels safe at home with the children. He alerts to anyone entering the property and is wary of visitors. I only ever need to tell Lance it's ok to get him to stand down, but until then, he's ready to defend. Once Lance gets familiar with trusted friends, he knows when it's ok to let someone just walk right in, but he'll still let out a short announcement. There's no need to worry about Lance with chilren, either. Chilren don't bother him and he doesn't bother them. If I couldn't find a babysitter, I could probably teach him to dial emergency services, but he might have a hard time with diapers. Seriously, though. Unless an intruder disabled this him, no one could harm Lance's family. Lance and the cats co-exist in peace.
