My father really wanted a Doberman because of it's reputation. We needed a guard dog, but also one that was easy to train. We found Cliff at a shelter and fell in love. He was a kind, big and sweet dog. Not really the guard dog we were looking for. After some training he barked when there were strangers around the house. That's all that we needed.

He was friendly to people he knew and super attached to the family. He always wanted to be close. He needed a regular check at the vet. The vet told us that this is typical for this breed. They can get ill easy. Make sure you have a lot of space or take the dog on walks. They have a lot of energy and you don't want that in your house.
