I currently own 2 female(sisters) Doberman pinschers. They were the last 2 left and didn't have a heart to take just one.
Even though they have 2 very different personalities, in general they are a little bit difficult to train and as other people often say a little bit "wild".
Me being a female, living alone I couldn't ask for anything better. I know from miles away when the pizza delivery guy is coming. They are excellent to guard and watch the house and you. However they need an extra patient and hard-work to get them trained. They have loots of energy, so I usually take them out twice a day.
Didn't own a doberman before, so this information might be particular just for my own 2, but they are not really keen on other people, especially children, but me and my friends that they are used to.
So I'd say, if you need to watch your house and need someone to feel safe with, this is the breed for you. Apart from their energetic nature, they loooove to eat. :D
