Review of my doberman

I got the doberman as a 4 month old puppy that was neglected outside with not much human interaction. It took a solid 2 months for him to start responding to us and wanting to get attention. He constantly would check on us during the night to make sure everyone in the house was fine. He loved doing his rounds. As he has gotten older, he loves attention! He loves guarding the house and being the main watchdog out of the three and he is very protective over his kittens that he helped raise. Absolutely a doll! However, when he is tired nobody or animals can go near him. He puts himself to bed and if you get in his space he growls. Any kind of negative reinforcement makes him angrier. He does well with our 2 year old nephew, but same goes.. if he's tired, he cant be near anyone. Overall, he is a great dog for our family, and living in the country he fits in perfectly.
