I had 2 Doberman growing up. They were both male and were not fixed so this created a problem. Sometimes they would love each other to death, and sometimes they wanted to kill each other. They got into many fights, and one resulted in one of the dog's ear almost falling off.
Doberman can be scary and vicious, which makes them great watch dogs. They loved me and my family, and would never hurt us, but they were cautious when new people came into the yard.
They are smart and easy to train which is a plus. If you're looking to get more than one Doberman, I would suggest getting a male and a female. This usually works best so there's no competition between them. Just make sure to fix them if you don't want puppies!
