Energetic and friendly
Dalmatians are energetic and friendly dogs. Known as fireman’s dogs, you would assume they are brave, but I would say they are brash, gutsy and impulsive. I have had three Dalmatians, so clearly I love them, but they have an insatiable energy that keeps them in puppy stage longer than other breeds. They are very friendly, sometimes too much so, which is why I would not recommend them for under 8 year olds – they are just a little too exuberant! If you are looking for a dog that is easy to care for and full of life, then this is certainly the dog for you. They love the outdoors, water and running and would prefer a larger yard to run around in.
