Having owned dougal for 4 months, he is proving to be such a loyal, loving friend who protects me, and who is very protective of his premises. He gets on so well with all the family, and loves to be fussed over.
He does need a lot of exercise to stop him from bouncing off the walls, but the plus side to this is that it keeps me fit aswell.
I was feeding him on beta like the breeder, but tried to change to a slightly better feed, which said it was good for the urinary tract, which they can have problems with, but this food gave him such a bad stomach, i tried him on 2 other feeds, all of which he didn't like or upset his tummy, so i was at a loss to what to feed him, so i went back to what i originally fed him, and now he seems to be ok again. Feeding these can be difficult to find the right one, but once you have found it, they are easy to care for.
He keeps himself clean, is easy to groom, loves playing, and i would recommend the breed for families.
