We had two Dalmatians growing up as family pets.
One was a little high strung and the other was so laid back she could babysit 3 children at once. The high strung one was a rescue at an adult age, so that accounts for her disposition.
The other we had since a pup. She was incredibly obedient, intelligent and kind. (Except to the mailman, she really despised the mailman).
They required minimal grooming and had excellent health, but they shed a lot once/twice a year. They can be possessive of their personal space. These dogs wouldn't share a bed with each other under any circumstances.
