I bought this dog just before I had children (over 25 years ago). Bought him from a breeder that had advertised they had available puppies. Named him Gershwyn, because he was black and white (like a piano) We lived out in the country, so he had plenty of places to roam. He was a very loving and sweet dog, but the downside was that he was also extremely hyperactive. I hadn't researched (this was before the internet) so I didn't realize that he would be so hyper. Otherwise, he was fairly easy to care for. He loved to get out and exercise, take walks and roam. He was always so loving and good-natured. A great dog that I would recommend for anyone that understands the hyper nature of the dog, and has plenty of area for this great breed to roam.
