Dogs are usually described as man's best friend. And diamonds are described as a woman's Speedo was both, my best friend and my precious gem.

At the minor age of one, Speedo was destined to grow into the Shaquille O'Neil of dogs. He'd make the perfect person to help reach the cookie jar on the topmost shelf. Dalmatians grow, not only in height but in heart. They also challenge Einstein's theory that nothing can travel faster than light. You might want to wrap your porcelain and babies in protective paper if you've got a young Dalmatian in the house. Energy is something they take awhile to understand.

Dalmatians are typical dogs, which means they like getting intimate with anything filthy. Especially if it creates a stain difficult to wash. You might want to buy their shampoo in bulk, because they return from the backyard not only looking dirty but smelling it too!

They're also little pirates when it comes to burying treasure. Speedo and I would bury things whenever we found the chance. He did the digging, I did the stealing of my mother's jewelry for him to bury.

Basically, Dalmatians need a lot of everything. Food, energy, shampoo, you name it! Oh, and love. You might want to throw an extra dose of that in, too.
