The dalusky (dalmation/husky) is a very good family dog. They are loving and playful with every person and animal they meet. They have a high energy level so need an active family, but with proper excercise they will do great. They are medium sized dogs, weighing in at about 40 lbs. Most don't know any strangers. They have a great jumping ability and need sturdy fencing or a tie-out. They need minimal grooming, even with husky fur. Water is a definite love. They learn quickly, but can be extremely stubborn dogs. Due to the husky, they have a good bit of pulling power and so should not be walked by a small child unless they are well-trained and tired. No signs of aggression are prominent in the breed, and you can get an array of beautiful coloring. They are usually silent, though it is possible to get them howling or to train them to bark. May not be safe aroudn very small children due to jumping (they are friendly but don't realize their size). Think they are lap dogs!
