Acquired: Rescue / shelter organization

When I first got Lucy, she was a shelter dog with a lot of nervous energy. Only two months later she's still full of energy, but she's a lot calmer and listens to commands. Mild discipline is sometimes required, but she becomes apologetic very quickly once she realizes that she's in trouble. Lots of attention and playtime are required. I wouldn't recommend this breed of dog to anyone who practically lives at work. Her previous owners seem to have enforced some bad habits, but she's slowly learning better. She's an excellent guard dog and a wonderful companion.
