My pretty Poppy is an absolute diva, she loves to be the centre of attention and although I’m not one of those people that likes to dress up my dogs little Poppy will dress herself up if I left her too it ?. Picture a dog that howls and barks until you take her for a shower so that she can doll herself up from head to toe. The Dachshund is curious, clever, lively, affectionate, proud, brave and amusing. Devoted to its family, it can be slightly difficult to train and housebreak, but not impossible. Dachshunds travel well. This little dog needs an owner who understands how to be his pack leader or he will take over the house, and begin to try and tell the owner what to do. The dachshund is bold, curious and always up for adventure. It likes to hunt and dig, tracking by scent and going to ground after game. It is independent but will join in its family's activities whenever given a chance. It is good with children in its own family, but some may snap at strange children. This is a beautiful little dog and will make a great companion.
