Our wire-haired Dachshund was truly the life and soul of any party. Although small in stature, he was big on personality and also full of energy. For a small dog, he had plenty of stamina and loved to run through the fields or on the beach.
You only have to look at a wire-haired dachshund to see that they are quite mischievous by nature; ours was into everything and was a talented thief (I believe that we will one day find his stash of stolen socks buried in the garden). Our boy was great with kids and generally pretty good with other animals although he would occasionally try to pick a fight with another dog, usually one twice his size. The dachshund is a great small dog with a big heart and so much charm that you just can't help but love them.
