This dog is very attached to just one particular member of the family (the one that spoils her), so she may get lower "friendliness" scores than others of her breed. She can't stand to be more than a few INCHES from her person, or she whimpers and acts very anxious.
She's very loving, and she uses her burrowing instincts to bury herself deep in the covers of the bed at night. Little-known fact, Dachshund body temperature is about 102 degrees, Fahrenheit, so they keep your feet VERY warm in the winter. And she loves the closeness.
She does yip quite a bit when the doorbell rings, but other than that, she's very peaceful and relaxed. She's getting quite a bit older, but she's stayed in mostly good health.
