Fido is my grandparents dog. He is pretty usual, he is a wire hair Dachshund. I helped train him some. He still has more training to do actually. He is fairly well behaved but very excitable. Part of this is do to having no puppy training and being a complete outside dog. He loves children and with follow them around in the yard as if keeping watch even barking to get attention if they fall or cry. He does need quite a bit of grooming, but this is due to the fact that he is wire haired. Most Dachshunds don't require much. He needs to be regularly brushed and clipped. As for training he picks up on things fairly quickly. His only real problem is still tugging on the leash and interacting with other dogs. Like most small dogs he has a big dog complex. He is very good with strangers, stops barking once he knows who they are. So he has been a great dog so far and continues to learn and improve.
