One of the biggest medical issues with this breed would be back issues, often caused by being overweight. Older dogs develop arthritis in their backs and can cause nips when being picked up if not careful. Diet is very important for a long healthy life.
Dachshund's are very easy to groom with mild shedding.
These dog's love to borough and will often be found under the covers.
