Dachshund, a great company

In the last years i could live with two mini dachshunds of my nephews. They are great dogs. One loves to lay down on the sofa between your legs and sleep. The other loves to play with balls. So, they really love being around, they are a really great company. When they were puppies, my nephews were kids, and they were really sweet with them. Now that my nephews are older, they seem to not get along so nicely with unknown little kids. And the same happens with other dogs, they bark a lot looking for a fight, even when they don't realize that the other dog is bigger than them. One problem of this breed is their back, now that they are older, they are having a lot of pain problems in it, it is really sad.
