Funny Little Portable Heater

HOT HOT HOT! The number one thing my family and I remember and laugh about this dog was her heat! She, as most dachshunds are, was a burrower and loved to sleep under the blanket and right in between your legs. Even though she was small, she was extremely strong and sturdy. She was easy to train, partly because we had an older dog who taught her a lot. She was a short haired and very easy to maintain, other than weekly ear cleanings. She was loyal and fun. She loved to be with us and our other dog, but would definitely sneak away on adventures given the chance. She was great on leash but was very curious off leash. The important thing to remember with this breed is that with their long backs combined with short legs, their weight must be kept in check. Suzie was always healthy and good with an annual visit to the vet, but we made sure to get her lots of exercise and not too many extra treats. We never had a problem with her and other dogs, big or small. She was great with children and babies. She was not particularly loud or yippy. Wonderful funny addition to any family.
