As a puppy he was very stubborn, and still is a bit stubborn in adult age. With good training he learned to follow commands and not to run after other small animals. For those of you who think that a dog with such short legs is probably quite calm, Oskar definitely isn't! He loves running around and, especially when he was even younger. We made sure to walk him a lot so he would get tired and have a easier time to be calm when he was inside.

A tip is to start training as early as possible, Oskar wanted to chase most things that moved and liked to bark. He barks loud for such a small dog, as well. I'd probably not recommend you getting a Dachshund, unless you have time to train him and exercise, a bit more that other dogs. If you do, they're lovely dogs!
