Daschund or weenie dogs can be great pets for those with an abundance of patience. They are cute, small, and hyper little creatures that can have quite the personality. The downfall of having a pet like this could possibly sway your decision on getting though. In my experience and seeing a few others who have the same temperament, they can be a risk to children. My pet was not friendly with chikdren at all, and though they may seem very protective, they can get aggressive very easily. Another problem with weenie dogs is that like most small dogs, can be very difficult to potty train. The weenie dog I owned loved baths, and a squeaky indistructable toy. Every dog has their own personality and each dogs behavior can change with environment, age, or health. If you're up for having a cute little companion to dedicate alot of time to then a Daschund could very well be the pet for you.
