Dachshunds are entertaining breeds. They love to run around and sniff everything. Dachshunds are also very sweet dogs, they love to cuddle at night. Although, be warned that they do snore really loud. They are great mouse hunters. Also, Dachshunds love sun bathing and would doze off under the sun for hours.
I think the downside of owning one is that they tend to shed, especially the short haired ones. Their hair can stick to your clothes and furnitures.
