Blacky was a black dachshund that I had for a brief period of time. As a puppy, he was very playful and loved to be taken out on walks. He loved baths and I loved this about him because it made taking care of his hygiene very easy.

On the other hand, Blacky destroyed anything in his sight. He destroyed many pair of jeans I owned, shoes, he'd turn over plant pots and dig up plants. I tried consistently to train him and contain his behavior but he persisted. Eventually, we found him a new home. I stayed in touch with the new family for 3 years and they were very happy with him. The issue in my house was that he didn't have enough space since we always had him on a leash. I would take him out to walk on the afternoons but this wasn't enough.

This breed needs a lot of activity and attention or otherwise, they take revenge for it with your pants.
