Jack Could Be a Stinker

Jack was a short-hair who was full of energy and spunk. I don't want to say that he was mean, but he bit a few folks. He didn't attack, he just was very protective. He was also a bit high-strung. He loved to cuddle under the covers. He required little grooming. Once he got old, he was more expensive because he was always having health issues.

Dachshunds tend to get bored easily, and like attention from humans. They're not the best with little kids. They are active. They like to jump around and on things. They tend to bark loudly to get attention. They are best with a family with older kids. They like to bury things. They have a strong sense of smell.

Dachsund means "badger dog" in German. They are a hunting breed although they look like a lap dog. They are especially known for their long bodies and short legs. One of the ones we had, Ollie, had really big ears~like Dumbo. He really had a lot of energy.

While I love all animals and especially dogs, I don't think that I would choose another Dachshund as their temperment is just not suited to my laid back family. Of course, I would take one if someone gave it to me.
