Balto is probably one of the most even-tempered dogs I've ever encountered and he is a joy to be around, seeing as he is extremely comfortable around us and he just loves getting belly rubs whenever and wherever. He is quite playful and is just there when you need him to be, quietly sitting next to your feet, curled up into an adorable ball.

With his small stature, he is also quite easy to bathe, since he seems to enjoy them. He just never runs away. When he is being soaped down and all of that good, clean stuff, he always stays still and just watches the happenings of our backyard.

Also, he isn't a fuzzy eater at all and is extremely sociable, welcoming any guests into the home by tailing them and sniffing at their feet curiously, until they give him a simple little head scratch, in which case, he will run off and start exploring. We never really worry about giving him walks either, since the lot we live on is expansive enough for his adventures.

Personally, the Dashchund is a wonderful breed of dog with a great personality and if I were a dog, I'd probably be a Dashchund --- no doubt about that.
