Chubbs

Chubbs was given to me on my 10th birthday. We got her at 9 mos. from a family friend (she was named Chubbs because she ate all her siblings' food). Chubbs was not trained, and came to us quite spoiled. We tried to crate train her, but she was used to sleeping on her previous owner's bed and would start shaking uncontrollably every time we even got her near the crate; so on my bed she stayed. She is an incredibly happy and friendly little girl. She absolutely LOVES cats and babies (even if they don't love her). She's a mama at heart, making sure all of us are in our place. If you don't like to groom, don't get a dachshund/poodle mix--she takes constant brushing, and even though she doesn't shed, their hair gets matted very easily. Also, the Dachshund in them is very noisy, and wants to chase everything (squirrels, skunks, you name it)...so get 'em leash trained quickly, but make sure they have room to run around and dig (Chubbs LOVES to dig). Overall, a very sweet, loving dog....and aside from grooming, very low maintenance.
