Sweetest Dog; Loudest Barker!

My dachshund mix is the most unique dog I have ever owned. Her temperament is incredible. She is almost cat-like in the graceful way she moves and affection. She is constantly wanting to smell our breath. She never licks like a dog. We got Grace from a rescue when she was 7 weeks old. She was tiny. It took a while to get her housebroken, but she’s great now. Never has an issue. She is very playful inside and makes a howling noise when we play with her. It’s almost as if she is trying to talk to us. She also barks in her sleep quite often. She’ll wake up out of a dead sleep barking full force. She is friendly with other dogs and will chase a ball or Frisbee outside if another dog is playing, too. Otherwise, she’s not really interested. She is very routine oriented and hates when there is any change in the house. She has longer hair but is easy to groom. No brushing is required. We tend to get her groomed twice a year, just around the time that she shed. She is the sweetest dog I have ever owned and I’ve owned a LOT. We have had friends and family all ask if they could have her at one time or another. We always respond NO!
