The best way that I can describe this little dog is that he has a Napoleon complex! Always thinking he is bigger and stronger than he truly is! Loyal to a fault, my chihuahua-dachshund mix is quite the little guard dog. Even the slightest noise externally (and sometimes inside the house as well) can set him off on a barking tirade, determined to make sure that he is protecting his owners. It's often very difficult to get him to quiet down during one of his little barking spells, so it is easiest to let him get it out of his system. There were no struggles with training him (he was previously trained when he came to us), so I can't speak much on that. Being a very short-haired dog, there is literally no grooming necessary apart from the occasional bath and nail trim. If you're looking for a dog who likes to play during the day, but keep your feet warm at night and you don't mind a bit of bark (thankfully no bite), I definitely recommend this particular mixed breed. I literally have no complaints!
