I have loved having my dog. Originally I got him so it would get me out walking more. He loves to walk and is very sociable so that was a big positive for me. I find he barks at certain people in uniforms i.e. postman, delivery man and we have to keep him around the back of the house otherwise we don't get our post! He seems to bark at people he doesn't like and remembers them too. He also barks when he hears sirens i.e. ambulances. He will start barking and then 30secs later an ambulance is heard.

I taught him to sit and to give me his paw. He is very gentle when I give him a biscuit he is careful not to bite me. He is very loyal and responds to us well. When we call his name or whistle he will come to the back door.

I find he is quite sensitive and is attached to us as a family. He loves to be petted so we do give him what he wants. He is energetic and loves attention. He has become a huge part of our family over the years.

The bad points are minimal but I suppose barking when someone rings the doorbell, however that can be a benefit too. He sheds a lot of his fur so we keep him outside at all times. We keep him groomed to keep the shedding fur down to a minimum.

Overall we are extremely happy with our dog and wouldn't change him for the world!
