Collies are a family dog for everyone!

I have had several experiences with Collies and they are the most docile pet I've ever owned. Most of them are the perfect family animal, as they are not aggressive and have a tendency to be trainable, but really don't need it.

My first Collie looked just like Lassie, and she was such a love. She listened very well and was quite devoted. The only training we did with her was when she was a puppy. She formed a habit of chasing people when they went to get the phone or just horsing around the house and she would nip at their heels.

My second Collie was a male and he was even more sweeter than the female. He never barked and always wanted to cuddle. His one downfall was being a bit skidish at times and we were told by his breeder that, that trait could be part of the Collie breed.

If you are looking for the perfect family dog without any expectations beside having a loving friend, Collies are the way to go!
