Laddie was a Christmas present from my parents when I was 20 years old. He was a pure bred and his registered name was Laddie Blue Boy.
My Dad trained him and he would sit on the front porch, chase a squirrel and never put a paw off the curb.
The kids in the neighborhood loved him and would come to the house and ask if Laddie could come out and play, very shortly you would see Laddie all dressed up, beads around his neck, hat on his head leading the parade.
Two things Laddie was afraid of thunder and riding in the car, so he was very special, the vet came to the house for him, of course he would see him and run and hide.
The picture of Laddie was taken by a professional photographer, he use to see Laddie sitting on the front porch and stopped and asked if he could take his picture for his front window display, he was an instant hit.
He was a treasure, smart intelligent and he taught us all about unconditional love
