Acquired: Breeder (hobby breeder)

My parents got Misty for me before I turned five years old. She was my first love, my first companion and my first confidant.
Misty was a beautiful collie. She never received any professional training. She was just a very good tempered dog and eager to please. She knew basic commands of sit and come.
She did require brushing. She had long beautiful hair which had to be taken care of on a regular basis. It really wasn't too much and I did it as I got older but my mother did it when I was too young. Other than being sure to take care of her beautiful coat, we trimmed her nails.
I believe the collie breed is a great breed for children. Misty was very tolerant of little ones and loved to play with kids of all ages. She seemed to light up especially for kids!
