I'll never be without one

My collies just seem to know what I need and when I need it and have always enjoyed time with other dogs and children. They are always happy to work along side me when I need help and make wonderful house dogs when our work is done.  They enjoy traveling in the car and are great company on the road.  I've had other herding breeds and for me collies make great working stockdogs and are much easier to live with than many other herding breeds.  I've been hooked since childhood and will never be without one if I can help it.  I now own one rough and two smooth collies and although the rough requires brushing more often I'd have to say the smooths seem to shed constantly.  My collies are generally with me when I'm at home so generally they don't bark unless they are letting me know that someone is here or something is wrong (in their opinion).
