Sadie- Our Beloved Collie

My husband and I did our research before we found our breeder. We researched what type of dog would work best for us, and our research paid off. Our breeder was amazing, and as she lived across the country from us, we were fortunate to receive updates and photos every few days as Sadie learned her socialization skills with her mom and litter mates.

At seven weeks old Sadie was shipped to us on a plane, and it was love at first sight (isn't it always such with puppies?). It didn't take long for us to see what an amazing dog she was. She was potty trained through our diligence in under a week. She was immediately attentive and loving towards our young tots. She learned obedience skills rapidly over the course of just a few short months. She retained the skills she learned with minimal repetition, and always demonstrated a strong desire to please us with her obedience and loving character. Truly she is the stereotypical Lassie dog. She has saved our other collie's life on more than one occasion and frequently alerts us when the kids get in a tight spot. On our farm she is an excellent work dog. She patiently rounds up our chickens and goats (since passed) very adeptly. She is an amazing companion and is never lacking cuddles from our family. We really couldn't be happier with her; I don't think we will ever find another furry family member like her.
