I loved Dusky, but she was definitely more my family's dog than mine. Her long coat took a lot of grooming, and the fur she shed ended up in every nook and cranny of our house. Nobody would dare use stealth to get near our house, because someone visiting our neighbors across the street would be treated to Dusky's high-pitched welcome. She wasn't vicious by any means, unless someone became aggressive with someone in our family, but she was certainly vocal. She also liked to lick metal. A lot. Anything iron had to be treated with Bitter Apple or she would lick it until it started to rust. The vet said her iron levels were fine, she just liked to lick everything metal. Even the exam table at the vet's! Just one of Dusky's quirks I suppose!
