Lisa was a gentle, sweet dog

When we got Lisa she was already 8 or 9 years old - we can't be sure because she'd been passed around a few homes by then and nobody had kept track of her age.

She was quiet, sweet and gentle. Maybe even a little meek. We'd go out for walks with her and she was very smart, she could wander off on her own and then find us when she was ready to come back. She was friendly with other dogs, cats and little kids. She even got along with my hamster!

In terms of grooming, she would sometimes get matted fur but she was quite docile and easy to groom. She liked the attention!

We had another cocker spaniel and they were like polar opposites - Bart was an energetic, fiesty male and Lisa was the sweetest older female. They got along nonetheless. But all I'm saying is that Lisa's docile nature might not have been typical for this breed.

I still miss that dog ?
