This breed is irrationally scrutinized. As a breed, Bull Terriers have their virtues and faults, and yes they can be dangerous if they were brought up in such manner and that behavior was actually rewarded. Even Chihuahuas can be dangerous if they were to be trained like that - everything is up to the owner.
However, Standard Bull Terriers require a firm hand - an owner who knows how to establish dominance and authority since they will naturally challenge. They are rarely aware of their strength and often act as little bulls, going in headfirst into obstacles. They react to all kinds of stimulus. I recommend training them from the start, as soon as you can.
This breed is very vocal, not in terms of barking, but in general they make all kinds of noises, sighs, sometimes whines. And they fart a lot, sorry :D
Do a proper leash training because they are really strong and you could end up with a dog who is pulling you everywhere since they are inquisitive. Socialize them from the start and they will love other dogs and cats. Great babysitters.
