We found John in a box on the street when he was 3 month old. He was so tiny and skinny. And now he is a strong and healthy dog. He’s really smart. We didn’t spend much time training him, because he learned fast. And he obeys commands.
Even though he is kind of a big dog, he is always gentle with kids. Sometimes he will forget he’s not a puppy anymore and jump on me or my parents, which is cute to us.
John is very protective too, but he doesn’t bark much. He is calm and quiet. He is an awesome guard dog for me. It’s important that there will be a place for him to run and exercise. He is not as clingy as my dachshund. It’s more like he will guard and take care of your whole family.
John is the smartest dog I’ve ever had. So, I would say it’s wonderful to have Australian Kelpies in your life!
