Sherman the Boxer (and Tank)

Sherman is a 14 year old white boxer. He is extremely energetic and we have to hold him back when he first meets kids because he is big and gets too excited. He eats like a tank (hence the name). He is a great guard dog. Grooming is minimal, and love is maximum. Sometimes he thinks he's still a puppy and tries climbing in our laps. He is getting old and going blind. We will have to put him down soon, but he had a great life.
Overall, I would definitely suggest a boxer because of their energy. My parents got him a few months before I was born, and he was also a newborn, so we are relatively close in age and he makes a great companion. If you want a boxer I would suggest doing the same. I would not suggest having a boxer 3 years or older with a baby or toddler unless he already knows the rules.
