The Borzoi

A towering, lanky borzoi was my first friend as a child. These dogs are gorgeous, well tempered, loyal, protective, family friendly and extremely careful around children, despite their long legs and size! Mine both were famous for actually ‘sitting’ on the couch.

The borzoi’s both loved to chase deer but were fine around horses, chickens, and cats. With their long legs they can move extremely quickly and require a great amount of exercise! At the end of the day, mine were always happy to curl up on their bed by the fire. The only issues we had with the dogs was one ended up with serious hip issues and was moved to a new home where his exercise could be better monitored.

They are a great dog to have and make an excellent companion and addition to the family!
