The Brightest Border Collie

When I married my husband, I became the step-mom to one of the smartest dogs I have ever known. Our Border Collie is an amazingly quick, intelligent, and helpful dog.

She is a very active dog, and if she doesn't have a job to do, she can become destructive. We live on a farm, so she stays very busy all day, but as soon as she is in the house for the night, she whimpers until we put the TV on for her. She binges on doggie movies like Babe and Marley & Me.

We have many chickens on our farm, and it took a few training sessions to teach her that they were off limits. Once she understood, it was never a problem again.

I was also able to teach her to "politely" chase the neighbor's loud guinea hens out of the yard on command. She's quite the handy pooch on the farm.
