Shannon was part cocker spaniel, part border collie, and possibly something else. She was pretty gifted; she could climb trees. She was also incredibly sweet… but a little annoying because if you wanted to stop petting her and pushed her away, she would go away… and then come back. She liked to smile a lot though, which scared guests who came over – but when we explained that she was showing them that she liked them, they calmed down. She was sad when our other dog Ginger died but when we brought in a puppy, Nora, she developed a bit of a stern side – she would growl every time Nora rolled under her tummy or tried to play with her. She needed a lot of hair cuts because her hair was so thick – we felt bad because the weather was so bad. She also needed to be walked a lot; at one point she was a little overweight.
