Bollie was my childhood dog, an interesting mix between two very smart breeds, the border collie and Australian Kelpie. As a result she was extremely intelligent, and was learning tricks right up until old age!

She was also very gentle – I never knew her to even bark, let alone get aggressive with anyone, including other dogs and pets. When Bollie was 12, we got 2 dalmatian puppies – she loved them and was always happy to play.

Although she was quite energetic her whole life, she was relatively low maintenance – we had a large backyard and although she enjoyed the odd walk around the neighbourhood, a couple of times a week was fine.

Australian Kelpies are known to be a hardy breed without many health problems, and Bollie definitely had the benefit of this. She lived a happy and healthy life until age 16.
