Abandoned as a puppy, I rescued Roxie off the side of the road. She was around a couple months old; her teeth were not completely grown in. When I found her, she was a bit timid, but after spending a few nights in my bed, she became quite comfortable around my family and I. Once she was used to her surroundings, we let her stay on the front porch with our other dogs. She gets along with them, they are constantly running around, chewing on sticks and rubber toys. However, she tends to chew up newspapers, which is a hassle to clean up. She gets along great with our cats, and doesn't mind when other pets come to visit our house. She absolutely loves water, so bath time is fun for her, and she loves to go swimming. Her coat is not too thick, so brushing is not a daily chore, and she loves to be scratched behind her ears. She is my favorite dog by far, because of her playfulness and adaptability to her new home.
