Marve has been an awesome dog for the farm. She is very quiet and laidback but still personable and very fun. Extremely active as dogs go but she does live on a farm and loves playing with workers, tractors, cats, etc. She is so smart, in general is obedient and knows a fair number of commands.

Rarely the dog is confined but knows to stay on property boundaries and seldom breaks this rule. Gets alot of enjoyment out of 'playing' with the cats. It is more of a light mauling, and the cats are not big fans truth be told. She loves to be the center of attention but will leave if you make it clear you want her elsewhere.

Bluetick Coonhounds as a breed have a great bark. She only really barks when someone is coming onto the property or occasionally at the cats if they have climbed out of reach and she wants to maul. I do not think I would describe her as a 'barky' dog. Highly recommend for a farm dog.
