Toby was adopted from the pound when he was one-two years old. When he was picked up off the Californian streets, the animal control worker let him ride up front because of his sweet temperament and calm demeanor. Toby's pound life was short lived as our family fell in love with him only a few hours later. From the day we brought him into the family, Toby provided companionship, loyalty, and joy with his affectionate personality and loving nature. Despite his young age, he was extremely calm, well-behaved, and even-tempered. He rarely got into trouble and never chewed any of our possessions. Always wanting to please, Toby was obedient and quick to follow our commands.

While he was an exceptional dog, his prior home life as well as his having been attacked by several dogs, created social anxiety, causing him to be uneasy and skittish around other dogs. Overall, Toby was a model dog who adored all people and we couldn't have been happier with our choice to adopt him.
