Best Hound in Town
We got Copper as a rescue and while there weren't a lot of details available it was obvious from his demeanor he had a rough first 2 years. We adopted him when he was 2 and our youngest was 2. From the start they were and are the best of buddies. He sleeps in her bed at night and is so well behaved she can let him out or walk him without him pulling. He is so well behaved, he plays with the cats, which is the cutest thing I have ever seen. He tolerates without complaint small kids climbing on him and pulling on him. He is (as I tell him all the time) the best hound in town. Does he bark like a beagle sure, but he is pretty good about reserving that for camping or when someone comes to the house that we don't know. This is our first Beagle, he won't be our last, we love him so much. I could not imagine a better dog!
