We got Bandit when she was a few months old from my mom's friend Laura. I don't remember anything about her puppy years, since I was very young as well, but I do remember her when she was about middle-aged and up. Bandit loved to sit by your side on the couch while you watched TV, she would help with the laundry by sitting on the pile of clothes, she would run outside and chase the squirrels away or bark at the neighbors dogs. She was a laid back dog, but she did have a major flaw: She barked CONSTANTLY. The Beagle part of her would be the cause of that, but every little think was a reason to bark with her. She would bark outside, bark out the window, bark at the door, bark at the TV. She also had a very bad habit of eating underwear, socks, and even curtains. Why she ate those is a mystery. She liked to eat every little thing and then sometimes vomit it back up next to you. She was a very loving dog, even if she did have a few flaws, but she was always there for me when I was sad. She understood what something was off and almost like she had a motherly instinct, would come and cheer you up. She was a great dog and I personally would take another dog just like her if it ever came to it.
